A colourful aid to introduce the concept of times tables ( up to 5 x ). As the train comes out of the tunnel, the train is stopped to reveal a certain number of carriages and sets of people within. How many people are showing? Children will start by counting the people and move on to counting in 3's, 4's, or 5's etc leading to 4 x 3 = 12 etc.
